Triangle Ancient Roman glass cabochon, 6.08ct

Estimated Value $150-$175
  • 6.08ct,    15.58x9.1x6.28mm , from Northern Israel.

I really felt like trying a bit different form this time and stay away from classical drop shape, so elongated triangle it is. This Roman glass piece has beautiful light blue tones and tiny air bubbles all through it, reminding stars in the universe.

Ancient Romans were masters of many things, including creating the most beautiful vessels of glass. Some of it is still found in Ancient Roman Empire territory. Romans did recycle a lot of glass they made, however, some has survived to our times.
