Ancient Roman Glass Cabochon, 2.45ct

• 2.45ct,  8.31x7.45x5.34mm from Northern Israel.

A piece of history - this Ancient glass cabochon has high dome and lovely light blue body. It has few tiny air bubble inclusions. Depending on lighting, it can display a silky inner glow. Perfect size and shape for a ring.

Ancient Romans were masters of many things, including creating the most beautiful vessels of glass. Some of it is still found in Ancient Roman Empire territory. Romans did recycle a lot of glass they made, however, some has survived to our times.
