Round Ancient Roman glass cabochon, 11.85ct

Ancient Romans were masters of many things, including creating the most beautiful vessels of glass. Some of it is still found in Ancient Roman Empire territory. Romans did recycle a lot of glass they made, however, some has survived to our times.

I think I do say it about every one of Roman Glass pieces I've worked on - this one felt special! Green body, the strings of air bubbles with darker silk like inclusions makes this Ancient Roman glass unlike others.
