Opals come in all shapes and colors, and some can be more difficult to cut in a gemstone suitable for jewelry. This is a fantastic example of precious dark opal on its natural common opal base.
I polished the face to let the color play shine through and left the natural shape of the rest of the opal as it was found. The colors are bright and go from sky blue to bright purple, with some speckles of yellow and red on all sides. This will be a great addition to any mineral collection.
